Old school books have spilled out of a cupboard onto the floor in the empty and abandoned school in Buf (Akrita in Greek). The old village with its original houses is one of the most beautiful in the area. Before the Civil War it was a very large village, but now it is full of old and collapsing abandoned houses. Including the school, which was abandoned in the 1970s.
